Job Description

This position will focus on grant search, writing, and application (including budget) for our expanding African Development Project. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of how businesses run in African Nations and also have a strong relationship with any of the following functions: Mayor, State/Province, Territory or any Administrations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Search for, apply for grant (including budget) for African Development Project.
  2. Ability to be innovative and driven in growing the African Development Project.
  3. Create and maintain solid relationships within the government and private authorities in African Nations.
  4. Maintain strong communication with supervisor on progress, and needs within the Program

Education, Training, and Skills:

  1. Fluency in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese
  2. Experience in grant writing, applying, and application (including budget)
  3. Well versed in International and Globalized partnerships
  4. A strong relationship in an African Nation with at least one of the three options below:
    • Mayor
    • State/Province/local government
    • Territory or any Administrations
    • Excellent communication and grammar skills (writing and oral)
  5. Problem solving and critical thinking
  6. Punctual & Dependable
  7. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  8. Professional & patient demeanor and ability to work with minimum supervision and well with others
  9. Summit weekly report on the progress of the grant search and application.
  10. Three months’ probation period is required.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred)
  2. Previous grant writing experience preferred
  3. Experience with international studies, globalization, and African cultures a must
  4. Fluency in English, French, or Spanish, or and Portuguese
